Relocating, reorganising and redesigning

Well, that was a bit of a weekend. Saturday was moving day and a late night re-scheduling meant I was already in the new place by 2pm, conveniently managing to avoid some wedding that was in all the papers. BIG thank you to Tomas and Peter from realmanandvan who stoically handled all the stairs on a pretty warm day - serious leg workout there. Even with 3 of us there were a fair few runs with all my boxes and bags. Tomas had a feeling this would be a bigger job than it appeared from the booking form...and he wasn't wrong. I'd highly recommend him. Oh god I have too much stuff but I'm going to be ruthlessly paring that down over the coming year.

Then I cycled back to the old place to hand over keys, do a final room check, pay my last week's rent and get the deposit back. A quick take out in the local park, first food since breakfast, then cycled back to new home. Carshalton has hills. Unavoidable hills. But fitness is back on the agenda so that's ok, though my brakes will really need new pads this weekend.

On Sunday I went to Landmark Spring Art Fair and saw lots of interesting work and chatted about random arty things with friendly artists then back home for more unpacking. It's coming to a kind of order though I've given myself the week to sort it as well as finalise the redesign of the website. Then it's time to get settled and schedule my time effectively - art, work, fitness, scope out the new area and some relaxation too.
