Nothing like chilling with a good book!

Writing this post and hoping by the time it's done I'll have a text from the shop to say my bike's ready to pick up. Finally got to having the gears looked at since they haven't been switching smoothly since I had my footpath crash. Looks like the derailleur bit is slightly bent so that's to be fixed along with a general service (which it hasn't had since I bought it two years ago).

Meanwhile, autumn girl has been transformed to a non dance form. Jackie had suggested doing just 'people' to widen the demographics of potential buyers. Well, since I'm not directly marketing myself to the dance and gymnastics world (yet - now I've had some sales it's time to work on that), I had a think about what kind of people I might do and went with ones that were just doing relaxing or playful things.

Still have to paint the hair and jeans, and the skin needs a slight change in colour. I might add in a bit of decoration or colour splotches to the sweater.

Finally, the book needs to be glued on to the hand and the ankles glued together since I needed to be able to separate them to put the jeans on. Then it all needs to be sealed with Paverpol.

Oh, and I should also put a signature somewhere - I always forget to do that. I plan to have it all done by early afternoon, take it down today and see what she makes of it!

So this is the first 'ordinary person' and I have a few more ideas. Of course, there are many variations on reading so that gives me scope to play with that theme.

Back to the office tomorrow. Next week I'm only doing the Thursday as I have to use up all my leave days. We're closing for the Christmas week since it'll be dead for enquiries so that'll be almost two weeks off. Yay! And then it'll be 2022. Man, this year has flown by.
